Kyle & Kara : Engaged

What a gorgeous couple! I'm so sad I won't have the chance to photograph their wedding this August. They were pretty sure they'd end up looking super awkward, however I think they look like naturals in front of the camera. How about you? Congrats you two, and thanks so much for working with me for your engagement photos!

Steve and Dana : Engagement Preview

I. loved. this. session. I don't even know where to begin! Dana and Steve have such great personalities and are so photogenic. Their interactions with each other were so fun and vibrant and made my job capturing them easy! They were willing to trek up a mountain through grass about as high as my head on a HOT (hot, hot) summer evening. But it was worth it, or at least I think so. Gorgeous lighting. Beautiful location. Love. This is about as good as it gets, folks! Enjoy :)

Maura & Shawn : Engaged

It's been a while, blog-followers, and I apologize. Let these images of this beautiful couple assure you that I don't usually neglect the blog for too long, and that I'm legitimately busy out capturing love with my camera :)

Adam & Tenleigh: Engaged!

Adam and Tenleigh's story is a unique one. In short, two years ago, my older sister (Tenleigh) arranged to buy tickets to a football game from someone who had posted them for sale on Craigslist. Sketchy as that sounds, she met this man (Adam) at a gas station with a friend to exchange the goods. The transaction was brief and smooth, and everyone soon parted ways.

Yet something had clicked in Adam. Although this was completely out of character for him, he dialed up my sister's cell phone number (which he knew only to arrange the details of the meeting) just moments after they parted and asked her to go on a date. My sister, though slightly skeptical, also did something out of character that evening-- she accepted the offer.

Well, the rest is history! And in September, the two plan to unite in marriage in a Chicago, IL ceremony. I am so excited to say that I will be a bridesmaid (can't wait to experience her wedding without photography duties... something that doesn't happen often) and equally as excited that the fabulous Maggie Fortson (click here to see her work) will be there to document the day!! Enjoy a few of my favorite shots from their December engagement session.

P.S. I tried something new with these photos- I selected "sharpen for screen" when I exported them from Lightroom. I definitely think they look crisper, but I can't tell if I like that better or not! Thoughts, anyone?

Think he's excited? :)

Lisa & Jason : Engaged!

Hurricane Sandy threw off our initial plans for a session- but I honestly think it ended up working in our favor! Jason, Lisa, and Allie made the trip to Athens, PA (yay, you guys are officially more cultured!) on a perfectly warm & sunny fall day a few weeks ago for this session. When Lisa contacted me this summer about wedding & engagement pictures, I knew she was going to be fun to work with. She was open, energetic, and warm in her emails- and even more so in person! I actually went to high school with Jason, and it's an amazing opportunity for me to be able to work with those I "kind of" knew back in high school as a photographer. It's great to see him and Lisa so happy and excited about the future- I can't wait for their wedding next August. For now, enjoy a sampling of their engagement photos!

Jason and Lisa have a daughter (Allie), and take my word for it- she is PRECIOUS!
